This is a beautiful digital piano. The price from Amazon cannot be beat. More than anything, it sounds beautiful. It will be a great way for kids to learn to play.

Here are some great features of the Casio px 330:

  • 88 weighted, scaled hammer-action keys
  • 128-note polyphony
  • 250 tones (with layer and split)
  • Reverb (4 types), Chorus (4 types), Brilliance (-3 to 0 to 3), Acoustic Resonance

The Casio web site advertisement states: “authentic piano touch that captures every detail and nuance of your performance”. If that is your expectation, you will probably be disappointed with this keyboard. I have compared the Casio with two pianos that I play regularly (a Yamaha Baby Grand and a Spinet) and the Casio falls short of both pianos in this area. The Casio keys feel harder to press and do not have the volume/pressure sensitivity or dynamic range of the real pianos.

Here is what one of the owners had to say about the Casio px 330:

Randy Ambrose;

There simply is no keyboard with the features of quality of this Casio in this price range. Several features make the Casio px 330 a very powerful keyboard.

The Yamaha p85 is easy to setup. The sound is awesome. The price is right. It is a highly recommended product for anyone, who wants to learn to play a piano.

Here is what one of the owners had to say about the Yamaha P85:

Mdube;

I am very pleased with this purchase: the Yamaha P85 was as expected.
It has only a few voices but they can be combined if you want some variations.
No fancy features on this piano, and that is OK if you like it simple.

The only downside I find is the P85 is a little weak on the output volume, nonetheless the sound is great.

ABOUT Digital Piano Reviews

The Yamaha NP30 Portable Grand is an easy-to-carry piano that features advanced wave memory stereo sampled piano sounds for incredible sound. It comes with 10 voices like Organs and Strings plus 32 notes of polyphony. Another great feature for the home recording artist is that it performs as a MIDI controller.

The built in speakers allow you to play it anywhere since it operates on six AA batteries. The NP-30 portable grand delivers Yamaha digital piano sound and simplicity in a new lightweight, compact design like nothing else you’ve seen. It is super slim design and minimal weight of 12 pounds makes it the most compact performer in the digital piano family of instruments.

Yamaha NP30 is available on Amazon for 32% off retail price. Click this link to take advantage of this great offer.

Keyboardists who don’t need all the bells and whistles of sequencers and synthesizers will be delighted with this ultra-light keyboard. There are only a few sounds (a couple pianos, harpsichord, electric piano), but for little cocktail piano, wedding or singer-songwriter gigs, often you only need a piano sound. (Yamaha is known for its authentic piano sounds.)

Here are some great features of the Yamaha np30:

  • Music Rest Included
  • Operates on 6 AA batteries or optional PA5D Power Adaptor
  • Weight: 12 lbs
  • Dimensions: 49 Inches x 10.2 Inches x 4 Inches
  • Number of Keys: 76

Yahama NP30 functions very well, but there is no power chord included. If you want to run it without batteries you have to purchase an adapter. Adapter is recommended, especially for children use.

Here is what one of the owners had to say about the Yamaha NP30:

Corinne orde;

I was looking for a “dummy” keyboard on which I could learn and repeat difficult passages hundreds of times in succession without driving the neighbors mad. I also wanted to be able to practice late at night or early in the morning at weekends. The “annoyance to neighbors” factor has always held me back from practicing properly as I’m constantly aware how loud my real piano must sound to the poor folks next door. This keyboard more than meets the requirements.

It sounds and feels great for a digital piano. It does only come with about 10 voices, but if you’re learning to play or just want to play most standard songs you don’t need all of the others. It doesn’t have all the ‘bells and whistles’, it is pretty basic. But it does have the ability to do quite a bit.

Here are some great features of the Yahama p95B

  • 88-note, GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted-action keyboard w/ matte black key tops
  • 64-note polyphony
  • 10 Voices including Grand Piano, EP, Jazz Organ, Choir and Strings
  • Front panel Voice select buttons featuring Dual mode
  • 50 built-in piano songs (standard repertoire)

The Yamaha has a clean design, weighted keys, good touch and is very easy to navigate. It might seems, that the on button is hard to press and the pedal included looks like a joke, but works very well.

Here is what one of the owners had to say about the Yahama p95B;

J. Perez

I purchased the Yahama p95b about 2 months ago and I’m really enjoying it. Yes, you do give up some of the bells and whistles of larger keyboards, but I like the sound, keys, and features it does have.

Casio PX 130

Casio Px 130ABOUT Digital Piano Reviews

Casio PX 130 – The grand piano sound in the PX-130 delivers an unprecedented level of realism and expression. Four dynamic layers of stereo piano samples are integrated with Casio’s proprietary Linear Morphing System, resulting in a grand piano sound with seamless transitions and a superior dynamic range.

For added realism, the PX-130 simulates the sound of the open strings when the dampers are raised by the pedal using Acoustic Resonance DSP. The PX-130 also has 128-note polyphony, enough horsepower for the most demanding musical passages and the ability to layer sounds and use the damper pedal without worry of dropped notes. The result is a grand piano experience that is unmatched at any price.
This digital piano is available on Amazon for 15% off retail price.

Casio PX 130 is absolutely amazing. The feel is wonderful, the sound is beautiful, and the touch feels just right. It’s not like playing a Yamaha C5, but it’s as good as.

Here are some great features of the Casio PX 130:

  • 88 weighted, scaled hammer-action keys
  • 128-note polyphony
  • 16 tones (with layer and split)
  • Reverb (4 types), Chorus (4 types), Brilliance (-3 to 0 to 3), Acoustic Resonance

The weighted action on each key gives, I’d say – 90% of the feel of a real acoustic piano. Of course, this is a lot smaller and cheaper than new pianos. Low notes have a stiffer keyboard feel than higher notes, like a “real” piano. The sounds are excellent as well, based on sampled acoustic pianos.

Here is what one of the owners had to say about the Casio PX 130:

Michele Bailey:

I bought this for my daughter to practice on. This digital piano sounds great, very “real” sounding. I am very impressed that such great sound can come out of this unit……very much worth the money.
